Growing up in El Cerrito, CA, I was constantly hearing the sound of the Banjo which my mother would be practicing on for many hours a day. I have always loved all kinds of music. I received my Bachelor in Arts of Music at California State University, Hayward. As much as I enjoyed those college years it was time to move on. Shortly after graduation i was fortunate to land a job playing violin in a musical group called Regency Strings at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in San Franscisco. This was a fun and exciting job in which all the music was memorized. A little later when I moved to Nevada I played Violin at the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino for every Sunday brunch at their fabulous Sterling's Sea food Steak house until 2009. I am now enjoying playing music for many special occasions and events. Most of all I feel blessed that I have been able to play music and to have worked with many fine musicians such as, Ella Fitzgerald, Victor Borge, Joel Grey, Bob Hope and many others.
Dr George Worth:
I can say humbly and without ego that I'm not your average musician. I started my musical training at the age of 3 under the stern tutelage of my father, himself a musician who played numerous instruments, including the harpsichord, ukelele, accordion, bass trombone, flugelhorn, baritone saxophone, washboard, harmonica, clarinet, rotary trumpet, slap bass, and piccolo.
It was clear from the moment I was born that music was to be my destiny. Almost as soon as my father cut the cord, he was teaching chord theory and other formal constructs of music. This early training turned out to be invaluable, as it paved the way for my more formal training at the most prestigious musical institutions in the world.

When you asked about how I was interested in music , when I was 3 or 4 yrs old I used to ask for a iolin I could not yet say violin .(even though I pursed my interest much latter . ) My mom was always practicing the banjo and I would go to her shows as a child and at 12 yrs old I was actually a plectrum banjo player and was even on t.v. with my mom at that time . In 2007 she was inducted into the Banjo Hall of Fame. This museum dedicated to I do not play banjo anymore but may go back to it eventually . I do not know if you can use this info or not.
